DREAM PRACTICE 1: BASIC SLEEP and DREAM YOGA’s

The dream yogas belong to the branch of energy practices, training the
mind for operating consciously in the subtle dimensions. The state of
clarity which is gradually developed through the dream practices
becomes the base of support for guiding the consciousness through the
process of dying and transcendence. Initially in the dream practices
one clears the obstacles to fully appreciating the tremendous
opportunities which are available each time we go to sleep and dream.
The dream practices begin when we are awake, therefore, work with the
emotions is needed for clearing the dreams arising from going to
sleep with unfinished emotional cycles.
One learns to radiate the intention at the moment of falling asleep in
the posture for crossing dimensions, aligned in a positive state of
mind after having cleared fatigue before going to bed. The basic
skills for experiencing lucidity are introduced in the first level.
Lucidity is experienced when there is a surge of self-consciousness
while experiencing a dream. Without cultivating self-consciousness
while awake or in dream state, the possibilities of experiencing the
death process consciously is seriously limited. Through the first
level of the dream practices one begins to develop the dream-yin body
which through practice becomes a vehicle for operating in the subtle
dimensions independent of the physical body. Without developing
skills in the transcendence practices any program of energy work is
seriously limited.

DREAM PRACTICE 2: DREAM INCUBATING

In the second level of the dream yogas one learns the skills for
Using dream state for healing illnesses and imbalances.
Dream incubation is one of the most ancient energy practice of humanity.
People have made pilgrimages to temples and sacred places in order to
receive healing dreams, obtaining answers to difficult problems;
receiving initiations and developing familiarity with a particular dimension of
transcendence. Dreams are traditionally incubated in a sacred spot
such as a temple, shrine, cave or powerful tomb. At present, it is
extremely difficult to sleep within a temple, church or sacred spot,
as all these places do not allow overnight stays and dream incubation
is best done at night. So in this class we are going to learn to
transform our sleeping place into a sacred spot where dream
incubation can be done at any time.
The ultimate purpose of dream incubation is developing a creative
relationship with the superconscious aspect of the mind, what is known
in the Dao as Original Mind.
The combination in this retreat of level one and two of the dream
practices helps develop a foundation on the transcendence practices
and a means of clearly establish a direction where the consciousness
is projected each time we fall asleep.
